Material Overview
Hillium PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) combines the ease of printing of PLA with significantly improved mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and temperature performance of ABS — without ABS's warping and odor issues.
Print settings (typical):
- Nozzle temperature: 230–250 °C
- Bed temperature: 70–85 °C
- Print speed: 30–60 mm/s
- Cooling: Light cooling or none for best layer adhesion
Key advantages over PLA:
- Higher heat deflection (~80 °C vs ~55 °C for PLA)
- Better impact resistance
- Chemical resistance to dilute acids, bases, alcohols
- Low moisture absorption
- Excellent interlayer adhesion
Applications: Functional parts, laboratory equipment enclosures, fluid-contact components, outdoor use, food-contact applications (clear PETG), mechanical assemblies.
