Material Overview
Hillium ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) filament for demanding functional applications requiring high temperature performance and post-processing capability.
Print settings (typical):
- Nozzle temperature: 230–250 °C
- Bed temperature: 100–110 °C
- Enclosure: Required (prevents warping)
- Cooling: None or minimal
Unique advantages:
- Acetone smoothing — produces mirror-finish surfaces
- Acetone welding — join parts chemically for strong bonds
- High heat deflection (~100 °C)
- Machinable — drillable, tappable
- Widely used in industry (LEGO bricks, automotive, electronics)
Requires: Enclosed printer, heated bed 100+ °C, good bed adhesion (ABS slurry, PEI, or garolite recommended).
