Material Overview
Hillium ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) is the UV-stable successor to ABS for outdoor applications. Unlike ABS, ASA does not yellow, chalk or become brittle under prolonged UV exposure.
Print settings (typical):
- Nozzle temperature: 240–260 °C
- Bed temperature: 90–110 °C
- Enclosure: Recommended
Key advantages over ABS:
- UV resistance: Does not yellow or degrade under sunlight
- Weather resistance: Resistant to rain, humidity, and temperature cycling
- Similar acetone post-processing capability to ABS
Applications: Outdoor signage and fixtures, automotive exterior trim, garden equipment parts, sensor housings, any application exposed to direct sunlight.
