Material Overview
PETG matrix reinforced with glass fiber for improved stiffness, dimensional stability and heat resistance compared to standard PETG. Less brittle than carbon fiber composites and with better impact resistance.
Print settings (typical):
- Nozzle temperature: 240–260 °C
- Bed temperature: 80–90 °C
- Nozzle: Hardened steel required (glass fiber is abrasive)
vs standard PETG:
- Stiffer (glass fiber increases modulus)
- Better dimensional stability at elevated temperatures
- Slightly reduced interlayer bonding
- Opaque white/light grey appearance
Applications: Functional engineering parts, heat-resistant enclosures, automotive under-hood components (limited), industrial fixtures, laboratory equipment parts.
